Finland, Latvia, and Germany to Collaborate on Common Armoured Vehicle System
The German Bundeswehr has signed a statement of intent to join the Finnish-led Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) programme, marking a significant step forward in the development of a new generation of armoured vehicles for the German and Swedish armed forces. The CAVS programme was originally established by Finland and Latvia and later joined by Sweden. The Finnish land systems specialist Patria alongside German defence suppliers DSL and KNDS have been selected to develop and produce the new armoured vehicle system.
