Bruins Notch 94 Points in 1987-88

Solid Regular Season Leads to Second Place Finish in Adams Division

44 Wins, 30 Losses, 6 Ties

The Boston Bruins had a strong regular season in 1987-88, finishing with a record of 44-30-6 and 94 points. This placed them second in the NHL's Adams Division, behind the Montreal Canadiens.

The Bruins were led by Cam Neely's 36 goals and 73 points, while Ray Bourque added 23 goals and 83 assists. Rookie goaltender Andy Moog also had a strong season, posting a 2.70 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage.

The Bruins made it to the second round of the playoffs, where they were eliminated by the New Jersey Devils in six games.

Despite the early playoff exit, the Bruins' regular season success was a sign of things to come. The team would go on to win the Stanley Cup in 1989.
